Job Title:  Summer Camp Teacher

Classification: Non-Manager

Reports To: Program Director

Salary: $16-$18/hr

Hours:40 hours per week from June 16th through August 8th

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work steadily from 8am to 4pm from June 16th through August 8, 2025.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a degree in education, child development, or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience working with children in an educational, camp, or recreational setting is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive, supportive environment for campers and staff
  • Creative critical thinking skills and adaptability in a dynamic camp setting
  • Must be able to work in both indoor and outdoor settings and perform physical activities such as leading games or setting up activities

 

Required Background Clearances:

  • PA Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Fingerprint Results
  • National Sex Offender Registry Certification
  • Mandated Reporter Training

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement daily lessons and activities that align with the camp's educational goals.
  • Create a fun, engaging, and inclusive environment where children feel encouraged to explore, learn, and grow.
  • Provide supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.
  • Lead activities such as arts and crafts, games, nature exploration, field trips and other camp-specific programming.
  • Maintain positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff members.
  • Collaborate with fellow camp staff to deliver a cohesive and enjoyable camp experience.
  • Assist in managing camper behavior, implementing appropriate behavior modification and positive reinforcement strategies, and promoting a respectful and supportive community.
  • Participate in all staff training and meetings as required.

Job Title: On-Call Preschool Assistant Teacher

Location: The Maker’s Clubhouse Early Learning Center

Reports To: Center Director

Hours: As needed, Monday through Friday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Compensation: $17-$19 per hour

Job Overview:

We are seeking a responsible and reliable On-Call Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team. This position requires flexibility and availability to work on short notice during business hours. The ideal candidate will assist the Director and teaching staff in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for young children. You will be expected to support classroom activities, ensure children's safety, and help with daily routines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily care and supervision of preschool-aged children.
  • Implement activities and lessons under the guidance of the lead teacher.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
  • Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, parents, and staff.
  • Ensure all children are accounted for and supervised at all times.
  • Assist with snack, lunch, and nap routines.
  • Support classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and parents as needed.


Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to come in on short notice.
  • Must be able to pass all required background checks, including:

-PA Child Abuse History Clearance

-PA Criminal History Clearance

-FBI Fingerprinting

-National Sex Offender Registry Certification

  • Completion of Mandated Reporter Training.
  • Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Child Health and Safety Training (or willingness to obtain).
  • Professional References
  • Health Physical and Negative TB Test
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential.

Job Title: Barista and Deli Specialist

Classification: Non-Manager, Part-Time

Reports To: Everyday Café Manager

Salary: $13/hr + Tips, and Employee Discount at the Cafe


Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrate the ability to be positive, energetic, and friendly with customers and staff

• Available to work flexible hours (may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays)

• Engage with customers, including anticipating, discovering, and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication

• Ability to read and memorize food and drink recipes

• Ability to memorize and follow operating procedures

• Completion of ServSafe food service course and testing within 90 days of hire

• Prior customer service experience required

• Delivers phenomenal customer service to all customers by having a positive attitude and delivering a great experience

• Follows Everyday Cafe’s operational policies and procedures

• Provides quality food and beverages consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards

• Follows health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products

• Available to perform many different tasks within the café during each shift Core Hours: The Café is currently open Monday through Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Your shift will be determined in conjunction with the Café Manager.
