OVERVIEW
The Farm Assistant supports Oasis Farm's vegetable production, food access, land care, and community engagement work in Homewood. We are seeking an experienced, collaborative team member who is an avid grower, models good practices, and supports others. The Farm Assistant works closely with the Farm Manager to grow fresh food, maintain farm infrastructure, harvest and pack produce for the Homewood Farmers Market and Bible Center Church programs, and support youth and community programs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Farm Production & Maintenance (50%)
• Complete routine farm tasks, including seedling care, transplanting, weeding, irrigation, land care, pest management, harvesting, and post-harvest handling
• Maintain farm infrastructure, tools, equipment, growing areas, and outdoor learning spaces
• Assist with community Farmers Markets (June - October), donations, and deliveries
Team Collaboration & Support (25%)
• Model effective farm practices and positive work habits while working alongside farm crew and volunteers
• Provide instruction, answer questions, check work, and give constructive feedback
• Support volunteer workdays and ongoing volunteer activities
Community Engagement & Programs (15%)
• Support youth and community programs (Field2Fork, summer camp, workshops, events)
• Build positive relationships with community members, volunteers, and partners
• Assist with program coordination, events, and facilitation as needed
Additional Responsibilities (10%)
•Participate in meetings and trainings
•Complete tasks and paperwork within deadlines

• Comfort building trust with and learning from diverse groups, including youth (ages 14-24), volunteers, and community members in active educational farm setting
• Personal device for work communication and tasks
• Background clearances (Federal, State, Child Abuse)
• Access to a personal vehicle is required
Physical Demands: Walking, standing, bending for extended periods, lifting/moving heavy items (50+ lbs) regularly, outdoor work in all weather conditions throughout the season.

OVERVIEW
Oasis Farm is seeking a Farm Hand for the 2026 growing season. Working closely with the Farm Manager and Farm Assistant, this role supports vegetable production, maintenance, and harvest operations while contributing to our community-centered mission. Training and mentorship provided, with opportunities to grow skills based on interest. This is an entry-level farm position focused on learning foundational skills through hands-on work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Farm Production & Maintenance (60%)

OVERVIEW
The Field2Fork Program Coordinator supports Oasis Farm's summer youth leadership program, where young people ages 14-24 learn about health, the environment, and urban farming. We are seeking an experienced and collaborative team member who connects authentically with young people and thrives in youth-centered work. The Field2Fork Program Coordinator works closely with the Farm Manager to coordinate daily program operations, mentor youth participants, support farm activities, and engage with families.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Coordination (40%)
• Coordinate youth schedules and communication
• Handle daily logistics (meals, snacks, bus passes, materials, dismissal)
• Assist with field trip and activity planning (presenters, overnight trip)
• Track attendance and program documentation
• Track and organize supplies and materials
Farm Work with Youth (35%)
• Work alongside youth during farm activities (Wednesday - Friday mornings)
• Model positive work habits and safety practices
Family Engagement & Recruitment (15%)
• Assist with recruitment, interviews, and orientation

• Address questions and concerns from families
