Breakfast at Lincoln Elementary School

On Thursday, August 22nd, we will bless the teachers at Lincoln Elementary School (328 Lincoln Ave.) with a hot breakfast. Lincoln will be a second site for The Maker’s Clubhouse, Bible Center’s after-school program, beginning in September. If you would be willing to assist with food preparation or serving, please contact Sister Bernice Perkins at the church office – 412-242-4920 or bperkins@bcpgh.org by Monday, August 19th.  

Women’s Ministry

Women’s Fellowship Outing: Power of Laughter Health Workshop and Comedy Luncheon on Saturday, September 7th from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  (If you’d like transportation, we will leave the WARM Center at 10:15 a.m.). The cost is $20 (transportation, lunch, entertainment, and giveaways are included). If attending, please indicate on the sign-up sheet if you need transportation and if you would like a vegetarian lunch.  Please make checks payable to Bible Center or give payment to Pastor Cynthia, as we will purchase tickets as a group.   All attendees are asked to wear red to the event. All payment is due today (8/18) as tickets will be purchased this week. If special payment arrangements are needed, please see Pastor Cynthia.

Men’s Ministry

Men’s Ministry Meetings are on the 4th Saturday of the month. Please join the Men of Bible Center next Saturday, on August 24th at the Triplex (7238 Fleury Way) beginning at 10am for fellowship and ministry planning.


Men’s Outing – If you are interested in attending a men’s golf outing for Saturday, August 24th please sign-up online at bcpgh.info/event-sign-up. Event details to come after we get a count of those interested in participating. 

Own Our Own Entrepreneurship Academy

Everyday Café

70th COGIC Holy Convocation: Services start on Monday, August 19th with the Annual Pre-Musical at 7:30pm. Evening services are at 7pm Tuesday through Friday at First Church of God in Christ (2502 Centre Ave.). Our very own Sister Marci Huguley will be one of the featured speakers for the Thursday 11:30am service for Women's Day, if you're able to attend please come out and show your support! Saturday's Alliance Breakfast will be from 9:30am - 11:30am followed immediately by State Sunday School until 1pm. Bishop James M. Foster will deliver the official annual message Sunday, August 25th at 2pm. 


Fall Educator's Forum:

Dr. Lovie Jackson-Foster, Prevention Specialist for Allegheny County Dept. of Human Services, Youth and Families; and Mrs. Eletta Cameron, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice, will help participants learn how to raise resilient children. They also will

address the emotional, physiological and spiritual effects of bullying. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, 9 am to 11:30 am. Carlow University’s AJ Palumbo Center of Science & Technology, Corner of Craft & Fifth Avenues, Pgh 15213. Free parking Lot A, across from AJ Palumbo; doors open 8:15 am.
